workshops

What a joy that you’ve come – could this be the first step in changing your smoking habits?

If this question makes you feel anxious, that’s okay, it’s important to remain calm – perhaps you’ll discover that making the change is much easier when done with group support and professional guidance.

Have you already quit smoking but still find it difficult?

The workshop is also intended for those in your situation.

Who am I?

Nice to meet you, I’m Kobi Tchaoski, a psychotherapist who specializes in treating cannabis addiction. My own struggle with addiction to cannabis has been a significant part of my adult life. I have been leading detox workshops for over three years, facilitating more than 35 cycles and helping hundreds of individuals break free from cannabis dependency.

Would you like to consult with me?

Leave a phone number, and I will get back to you.

What is my approach?

My approach is that cannabis doesn’t have to be something inherently bad. We may come to a point where we suffer from it due to the dependency we’ve developed, but ultimately, in order to break free from it, it’s important to understand what it gives us.

We tend to form dependencies on things that provide us with something (even if they cause us suffering). If we can understand what we receive from cannabis and open up other ways to attain those things, we can break free.

What do you gain from the workshop?

They deeply understand how addiction works, both mentally and physically.

They gain insight into why they have self-destructive patterns and acquire tools to create new behaviors.

They develop new ways to cope with stress, low mood, boredom, and pressure.

They learn what they can do to avoid lighting up a joint when the urge to smoke arises.

Most importantly, they receive tools for dealing with life after quitting smoking.

FAQ

What happens if I missed a session?

In general, it’s better not to miss any sessions. Each session is relatively short, and there’s a lot to learn in each one. But if you happen to miss one, you can try to catch up on the material from your fellow group members, and in any case, make sure to attend the next session. It’s better to miss one than to give up and drop out midway.

Yes! Before the pandemic, I conducted these meetings in Bat Yam in a format of physical meetings, and due to the pandemic, we switched to Zoom. The quality of the meetings and the processes that take place in them did not change.

There is no contradiction between the workshop and other forms of treatment. The workshop provides a wealth of tools and a deep understanding of our addiction patterns and behaviors. If you are already in some form of therapy or considering starting one, the workshop will significantly advance your progress and save you valuable time.

You participated in all the sessions, completed the tasks, and still feel like the workshop didn’t advance you?

Talk to me! I’m not here to take your money without providing value – you’ll get your money back, and I’ll also work with you to understand what’s holding you back and guide you towards treatment options that can help you where the workshop may not have succeeded.

A bit of nostalgia

About 3-4 years ago, I started leading these workshops.

Here’s an excerpt from an article about cannabis addiction that I participated in – published on Channel 13.

The workshop allows for continuous work over an entire month to make it easier for you to make the change – not just quitting the joint but also starting to deal with the challenges in your life with support.

The first meeting

It will enable you to understand the mechanisms of addiction.

Dealing with dilemmas arising from quitting smoking

Focusing on the challenges we deal with in our daily lives

Addressing what happens after quitting smoking in the long run.

At the end of each session, exercises will be provided to help integrate the change into your daily life.

The WhatsApp group will be available throughout the entire process for support and consultation.

During the workshop, you can choose to participate in the three-day smoking cessation challenge.
